Minecraft Dungeons 2 is officially here, allowing fans to battle mobs and get a little taste of the new dimension, The Sift, before it joins the main game. It also offers a stunning new Aurora cape for you to grab for free.
Sure, you can choose from a variety of skins in Minecraft to really set yourself apart, but capes are the primary way to show off any achievements or grab a rare cosmetic item for the latest release.
Well, Minecraft Dungeons 2 is that latest release, and to go with the new game is a brand new cape, specifically the Aurora cape, which is available to wear in the main game. So, if you want to kit out your character, here's how to get the Minecraft Aurora cape.
To get the Aurora cape in Minecraft, you'll need to watch either 15 minutes of a Twitch player in the Minecraft Dungeons 2 category, or three minutes of Minecraft Dungeons 2 content on TikTok between September 29 (12:00 A.M. PT) and October 14 (11:59 P.M. PT).
So, if you prefer to access the reward on Twitch, you'll need to watch any Twitch Partner streaming in the Minecraft Dungeons 2 category. Once you've done that for just 15 minutes, you'll be able to claim your cape.
If you want to grab it through TikTok, then you need to watch any Minecraft Dungeons 2 content on a Game Reward-enabled stream for at least three minutes.
How to claim the Aurora cape
Once you've done the above, you'll find a 25-digit code in your Twitch rewards or TikTok rewards. From there, you'll want to head to Minecrafts redeem site to claim your offer.
Simply paste in the code, sign in to your account, and the cape will be added to your Minecraft Java and Bedrock accounts.
This isn't the only cape you can unlock as part of Minecraft Dungeons 2's release. There's actually a ton of ways to kit yourself out in the main game or the newest addition.
