Minecraft Dungeons 2 is now available on Xbox Game Pass. The day-one sequel is the 12th and final new title to reach the subscription service in September 2026, as well as the 142nd Xbox Game Pass release this year.
Formally announced in March 2026, Minecraft Dungeons 2 is the sequel to Mojang Studios and Double Eleven's 2020 dungeon crawler that surpassed 25 million players in 2023. It retains the original's accessible, loot-driven combat and four-player co-op while replacing its mission-based structure with a large, interconnected open world featuring quests, dungeons, side paths, and the new Sift dimension. Jumping, deeper gear and character-build systems, and a broader range of weapons and enemies further expand the classless action RPG formula while still maintaining the overall accessibility that the original was widely praised for.
Minecraft Dungeons 2 Joins 2 Xbox Game Pass Tiers

Minecraft Dungeons 2 has been officially available since September 29 at 1 a.m PT / 4 a.m. ET / 10 a.m. CET. Mojang's dungeon crawler is also a day-one addition to the Xbox Game Pass catalog, where it is available on the Series X/S consoles and PC. Xbox Cloud Gaming support is included with the Ultimate version, though Microsoft plans to impose a 15-hour monthly streaming limit beginning in November. Some existing subscribers in select markets have been grandfathered into unlimited cloud access for now, provided they maintain their current auto-renewing subscriptions, while new purchases will be subject to the cap.
