The Witcher 3: Remastered has added a new feature that allows you to remove the need to repair weapons and armor! Gone are the days of using Repair Kits or worrying about the durability of your weapons and armor, as you can simply turn the feature off thanks to the accessibility options. Below, we'll share the quick steps you need to take to remove item durability so your gear never breaks.
Removing item durability will NOT disable achievements, meaning you can safely disable item durability and continue to hunt for the platinum trophy (which you can do with our ultimate The Witcher 3 trophy roadmap).
How to Remove Armor & Weapon Durability in The Witcher 3
Enter the "Settings" once you're in-game.
Scroll down to "Unlimited Item Durability" and toggle it to "On".
With Unlimited Item Durability turned on, you will never have to worry about your weapons and armor losing durability. You can check your gear screen, and you'll see that the item durability is set to 100%, and even after hours of combat, it will never go below 100%.
This setting is recommended for those who simply can't stand the item durability mechanic that's in a lot of open-world RPGs. Still, the mechanic is for the default experience, but nobody is forcing you to use it, so feel free to change it!
