As fun as it is to run around and try to catch every single Aniimo in Idyll, sooner or later, you're going to have to fight, and then heal after. You likely won't feel the need to heal during your first few hours, but after you pass level 50, things start to get a bit more hairy.
The game doesn't do a good job of teaching you how to heal because of how easy the early parts of the game are. We ran into this problem, hence why we made this guide so you don't have to struggle with healing.
How To Heal Your Aniimo
You can heal your Aniimo in a few different ways:
Not fighting — Simply don't fight other wild Aniimo and your own Aniimo will slowly recover their health.
Using your Healing Talent — Not very effective, but can be useful in a pinch.
Using a Healer Aniimo — The best method while you're on the field.
NPC Healers — Talk to a Healer and have them heal your Aniimo (free of charge, of course).
The first method is self-explanatory, but we'll tell you a bit more about the other three methods:
Healing Talent
This is one of your initial two (player) talents you have when you first start out. Make sure you have the Healing Talent equipped, take out your injured Aniimo, and use the skill to restore a bit of their HP. As you can imagine, this is a lot less potent as you get stronger Aniimo, but it did save our hides a few times, so make sure you remember to equip it if you don't have any other healing methods.
Using A Healer Aniimo
You may have noticed, but every Aniimo can have one of four roles: DPS, Support, Breaker and Healer. Now, you may be wondering: how exactly do Aniimo heal each other when only one Aniimo can fight at a time? The reason why this works is that most Aniimo healing is done via area-of-effect attacks.
For example: When you bring out your healing Aniimo, they can cast a Healing circle on the ground, after which you should switch to your injured Aniimo, so they can stand in the circle and have their HP recover. We thought we would hate this system, but it works in this type of game, and doesn't interrupt the flow of battle.
Different Healer Aniimo have different skills, so experiment with the ones you have, Star Up your best healers and give them Healing Held Items, and use them accordingly. Healers also make great gardeners at the Homeland.
NPC Healers
These are, essentially, the Pokemon Centers of Aniimo. Talk to a Healer NPC, ask them to heal your Aniimo, and be done with it. It's the most effective method, but you can only do it in very specifi and, usually, non-combat zones. Healer Kim at the Outpost will likely be the first Healer you come across. So, if your entire party is hurt, and you don't care much about spamming the Healing Talent, then pay an NPC Healer a visit.
