Jimmy John’s is taking its pickle obsession to a new level with a massive 48 oz bucket filled with a new version of its signature pickles.
The sandwich chain is launching Swicy Jimmy Pickle Bites, combining sweet and spicy flavors with thick-sliced pickles soaked in a new brine created specifically for Jimmy John’s.
The oversized collectible bucket will only be available at a limited number of restaurants across the US, meaning pickle fans will have to track down a participating location if they want to get their hands on one.
Jimmy John’s Swicy Pickle Bucket launches September 30
Beginning September 30, Jimmy John’s Swicy Jimmy Pickle Bites will be available in-store only at select locations nationwide while supplies last.
Each 48 oz collectible bucket is packed with thick-sliced Jimmy Pickles soaked in the chain’s new sweet and spicy brine.
“This fall is the season of spicy books & steamy movies, and Jimmy John’s came up with the perfect sweet and spicy snack to enjoy it with,” said Suzanne DeRouchie, VP of Integrated Marketing Communications at Jimmy John’s.
“We want our pickle-loving guests to exchange the popcorn bucket for a giant Pickle Bucket and lean into their pickle obsession in a whole new way. We’re constantly looking for ways to innovate around the foods our fans love most, and we can’t wait for guests to get their hands on this limited-edition drop.”
The Swicy Pickle Bucket will be sold at 24 participating restaurants across California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Mississippi, New York, Ohio, Texas and Utah.
Participating cities include Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Austin, Denver, Indianapolis, Tampa and Salt Lake City. Jimmy John’s will also offer the bucket at select locations in North Hollywood, Irvine, Sandy Springs, Athens, Champaign, Muncie, Oxford, Brooklyn, Bexley, College Station, Lubbock and Provo.
Unlike a nationwide menu launch, customers will not be able to order the bucket from every Jimmy John’s restaurant. It will also only be sold in stores rather than through delivery or online ordering.
The company has not announced how many collectible buckets will be available at each participating restaurant, with the promotion set to continue only while supplies last.
The giant bucket is the latest example of Jimmy John’s leaning into its pickle-focused menu items. In 2024, the chain launched the Picklewich, replacing a traditional sandwich bun with a giant sliced pickle.
The Picklewich returned in 2025 following its viral debut, with Jimmy John’s expanding the lineup to six different versions while also adding Pickle Ranch and Pickle Jimmy Chips.
Jimmy John’s has continued experimenting with limited-time menu drops in 2026, including its #1738 Fetty W(r)ap Meal with Fetty Wap and its 4/20-themed Dream Rotation Menu earlier this year.
